Denekler, her iki gruba rastgele dağıtılmıştır.
This project aims to observe and investigate the effects of natural sounds and music on learning for subjects who were between four to six years old and had a moderate mental redardation. The sample in this project were divided randomly into two groups which were called; “controlled group” and “experimental group” and all subjects were asked to complete a task in a laboratory which was controlled by a computer to minimize error. The non-dependent variable were “listen to music” and the dependent variable were “success on the given task”. The aim of this project were to investigate the effect of music for achievement on the task. All subjects were choosen randomly by the experimenter. Subjects were 32 students at three different special needs school in ?stanbul and all subjects still attending those school ranging in four to six years of age. 16 subjects were male and 16 subjects were female. All subjects were equal scale on the IQ test. The experiment has lasted 4 weeks and a session lasted 30 to 35 minutes. In each session all “experimental group” subjects had to listen music for five minutes and had 30 minutes to complete the task. Experimeter had used “Denver II Prescreening Developmental Questionnaire” at the very begining and at the very end of four week period no questionaire were used between. According the findings there were no difference between the two groups, and there were no improvement in their motor skills. Correlation between “try counts” and “right answer” incresed positively after 2nd and 3th week sessions for controlled group (p<.01). Experimental group did not make any differences for the experimenter’s hypothesis.
