Özet
Tedarik zinciri yönetimi içerisinde yeralan lojistik kavramı; müşterilerin ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak üzere, her türlü ürünün, servis hizmetinin ve bilgi akışının, başlangıç noktasından (kaynağından) tüketildiği son noktaya (nihai tüketiciye) kadar olan sürecin etkili ve verimli bir şekilde planlanmasını ve uygulanmasını ifade eder. 21. Yüzyıl iş dünyasında etkin rol almak isteyen işletmeler, lojistikte temel faaliyetler olan taşıma ve depolama, destek faaliyetler olan elleçleme, paketleme, katma değerli işlemler, stok yönetimi, muayene ve gözetim ve sigorta faaliyetlerini de yönetmesi önem kazanmıştır. Günümüz lojistik hizmet sağlayıcıları, esnek ve aynı zamanda müşterisine çoklu alternatifler sunabilen çözümleri ile yeni iş yapma şekillerine ve anlayışlarına kavuşmaktadır. Buna bağlı tez çalışmasında, lojistik hizmet sağlayıcıların müşterileri olan dış ticaret firmalarına sunabilecekleri lojistik aşamalarının yönetimi açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Tez giriş ve sonuç bölümleri ile beş bölümden oluşmaktadır. Ikinci bölümde uluslararası ticaret, transit ticaret tanımları, dış ticarette teslim şekilleri, dış ticarette kullanılan belgeler, ödeme şekilleri, üçüncü bölümde tedarik zinciri yönetimi ve lojistik kavramı, lojstik gelişmeler ve lojistikte dış kaynak kullanımı, freight forwarder (taşıma işleri organizatörü) yapıları, lojistik yönetimi ve faaliyetleri, lojistik temel faaliyetlerden olan taşıma detaylı olarak ele alınarak taşıma şekilleri, taşıma araçları, taşıma ücreti konuları anlatılmıştır. Dördüncü bölümde ise ilk beş bölümde yapılan teorik açıklamalara dayanarak oluşturulan uygulamanınlojistik yönetimi ve taşıma maliyetlerinin incelenmesi yapılmıştır. Beşinci bölüm olan Sonuç ve Öneriler bölümünde ise, lojistik hizmet sağlayıcılarının dış ticaret firmalarına sunabilecekleri lojistik hizmetlerin önemi ve ihtiyacı üzerine yorum ve öneriler yazılmıştır.
Logistics concept that is within supply chain management means effective and efficient planning and implementation of the process involving any product, service and information flow from the starting point (source) to the final point where they are consumed (end consumer) in order to meet the needs of customers. It has become important for enterprises who wants to play an effective role in the business world in the 21st century to prefer the management of transport and storage that are the basic activities in the logistics and as well as handling, packaging, value added transactions, stock management, inspection and monitoring and insurance activities that are supportive activities. Logistics industry embraces new manners of work and understandings based on outsourcing of efficient logistics services of current logistics suppliers, who can offer flexible and multiple alternatives to their users. In this context, this thesis study tries to explain logistics services that logistics service providers can offer to foreign trade companies. The thesis is composed of 5 sections, including introduction and conclusion. Second section covers international trade, transit trade definitions, delivery terms in foreign trade, documents used at foreign trade and payment terms while third section covers in detail supply chain management and logistics managment, logistical development and outsourcing in logistics, freight forwarder structures, logistics management and activities and transport, which is one of the basic activities in the logistics, and modes of transport, vehicles and freights were explained. In the fourth section, a case study is described on the basis of the theoretical explanations in the thesis about logistic management and transportation cost analysis. The fifth section – Conclusion and Suggestions – covers comments and suggestions on the importance and requirement of logistics services that Logistics Service Providers can offer to foreign trade companies.
