dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this article is to discuss prime responsibilities of teachers in English as a Foreign Language Classrooms (hence EFL). Nowadays, teachers in language classrooms could be classified according to their attitudes and behaviors toward learners: what is even more. their behaviors make them either effective or ineffective instructors. Being an effective teacher involves: creating and managing friendly classroom, knowing students well. having clear and achievable rules as well as rewarding positive behaviors in the class. The paper draws upon basic characteristics of teachers such as being a good listener in case of any kind of problems of students, holding and communicating high expectations for students learning and behavior. establishing clear teaching classrooms rules and procedures, and being lovable and showing empathy when necessary, The theoretical study high|ights some basic principles to create discipline with love and logic as well, Having rules and disciplines in language classrooms includes using thinking words rather than otfensive and fighting words: to make things more clear. a teacher may not be treated with love and respect unless he or she insults or humiliates learners so that great teachers avoid using insulting words and establish positive and friendly relationship with students. Effective teachers are aware of not to use any corporal punishment to decrease misbehaviors but they prefer to use other strategies. Being responsible and efficient teachers requires not only teach some particular subject but also teach how to learn too when teacher make their students independent and autonomous learners. they themselves acquire new information and knowledge without any help from outside. ln conclusion, teachers in EFL classrooms have huge responsibilities and dilferent roles to implement, For this reason. teachers are ought to be patient and never have Iow expectation because all learners have capability to learn unless teachers keep teaching and using through ditferent methods and techniques.en_US
