dc.description.abstractSporadik Creutzfeldt Jakob Hastalığı (sCJH), prion proteininin yanlış katlanması sonucu ortaya çıkan, santral sinir sisteminin ilerleyici ve ölümcül bir hastalığıdır. Önceki yıllarda asiklovir tedavisine yanıtsız Herpes Simpleks Virüs (HSV) ensefaliti ile sCJH birlikteliği literatürde bildirilmiştir (1, 2). Bu bilgiler ışığında, son beş yıl içerisinde kliniğimizde takip edilen sJCD olgularımızda HSV antikorlarını araştırmayı ve klinik gidişatlarını tanımlamak amaçlanmaktadır. en_US
dc.description.abstractSporadic Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (sCJD) is a progressive and fatal disease of the central nervous system originated from misfolding of prion protein. The concurrency of herpes simplex virus (HSV) encephalitis who unresponsive to acyclovir and sCJD cases have been reported before (1, 2). In the light of this knowledge, we investigated the HSV antibodies in our cases of sJCD who followed in our clinic in the last five years. Also, we aimed to illustrate clinical prognosis of these cases.en_US
