dc.description.abstractTümellerin yapısı ve işleviyle ilgili sorun, felsefi söylemin Antikçağdan beri en önemli sorunlarından biridir. Bu sorun, aynı zamanda tam da felsefeye özgü olan durumu incelemektedir, çünkü felsefe; dışdünya, düşünme ve dil arasındaki ilişkileri ele alır. Tümel de zihinde yer alan bir genel kavram olarak, bu üç alanla ilgili ilişkiler bağlamında belirleyici bir rol oynar. Ancak, felsefe tarihinde tümellerin yapısı ve işleviyle ilgili olarak önerilen birçok farklı çözüm yolunun olduğu bilinmektedir. Bu makalede asıl amaç; Platon, Aristoteles, Porphyrios ve Boethius'un geliştirdiği görüşlere ya da başka bir deyişle bu konuyla ilgili ilk örneklere, kaynaklara yer vermektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe issue concerning the nature and function of the universals is one of the most important problems of philosphical discourse, since the Ancient period. This problem signifies, at the same time, exactly to the proper situation of philosophy; for the latter focuses upon the relationship between external world, thinking and language. Universal as a general concept included in mind plays also a definitive role in the context of the relations associated with these three domains. However, it is a well-known fact that there are many different ways of resolutions proposed concerning the nature and function of the universals in the history of philosophy. The main objective of this article is to examine the views that were elaborated by Plato, Aristotle, Porphyrius and Boethius. In other words, it aims at giving a place to the first examples pr the spurces concerned with this basic subject.en_US
