Özet

The concept of "benefit corporation" has emerged as a new form of organizaton that combines aspirations of for-profit organizations. Companies that wish to use besuiness for doing good voluntarily apply for a B Corp certification and try to meet standars of social and environmental performance along with transparency and accountability. The main purpose of this study is to provide a preliminary look at the social and environmental impact these organizations create and to assess the differences among various types of impact B corps make across industries. Impact scores of 2180 B Corps in designated categories of environment, workers, customers, community and governance are analyzed to explore the differences across industries.
