Abstract
Gelişen web teknolojileriyle insanlar artık bilgiye çok kolay bir şekilde ulaşılmaktadır. Bilgi paylaşımındaki en önemli nokta; doğru bilgiyi, doğru insanlara, doğru bir şekilde ulaştırabilmektir. Bu kapsamda kullanıcı deneyimi kavramı ortaya çıkmıştır. Kullanıcı deneyimi, bilgiyi doğru kullanıcıya ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda kolay bir şekilde vermeyi hedefleyen teknikler kümesidir. Bu çalışmada kullanıcı deneyimi teknikleri ele alınarak incelenmiş, uygun olan bir üniversite web sitesi üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Uygulanan tekniklerle, web sitesine giren kullanıcıların site içerisindeki hareketleri gözlenmiş, siteden beklentileri öğrenilmiştir. Bu kapsamda elde edilen nitel ve nicel sonuçlar değerlendirilerek web sitesi kullanıcı deneyimi açısından optimize edilmiş, akademik kuruluşlara ait web sitelerinde kullanıcı deneyimi açısından ele alınması gereken önemli hususlar belirlenmiştir.
People can access any information easily via emerging web technologies. Showing the right information to the right person is one of the most important issue on web. In this context, the concept of user experience has been emerged. The user experience is a set of techniques aimed at providing information in a way that is easy for the right user. In this study, user experience techniques are examined and appropriate ones are applied an university web site. With the applied techniques, the movements of the users entering the web site are observed and the web site's expectations are learned by user's behaviours. The qualitative and quantitative results obtained in this context are evaluated and optimized in terms of the user experience of the web site. Important issues to be considered in terms of the user experience in web sites belonging to the academic institutions have been determined.
