dc.description.abstractBu tez çalışması özellikle Manuel Castells’in kimlik, enformasyon çağı, ekonomi-toplum ve kültür çalışması ile Goffman’ın günlük yaşamda benliğin sunumu anlayışı ekseninde Yeni Toplumsal Hareketlerin niteliğini; benlik ve benliğin siyasal sunumu ile bir toplumsal hareket ve direniş modeli olarak gönüllü televizyon kanallarındaki benlik/kimlik inşası ile siyasal benliğin sunumunu incelemektedir. Çalışma, aynı zamanda, postmodern ağ toplumunda yeni toplumsal hareketlerin bir örneği olması bakımından farklı dünya görüşü etrafında izleyici kitlesine sahip dört televizyon kuruluşunun yine farklı gönüllülük uygulamaları konusundaki performansları üzerine niteliksel araştırmayı içermektedir. Araştırma bulguları, bu kanalların Yeni Toplumsal Hareketleri tetikleyici ve eyleme geçirici potansiyel taşıdıklarını ortaya koymuştur.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis thesis study analyzes the characteristics of the New Social Movements, self and presentation of self, alongside with construction of self / identity and presentation of political self in the voluntary-based television channels as a social movement and resistance model in the axis of especially the study of Manuel Castells regarding identity, information age, economy-society and culture and the conception axis of Goffman regarding presentation of self in the daily life. At the same time, this study includes quantitative research on the performance of four television channels having an audience with a different worldview regarding different volunteerism applications as to being an example of new social movements in the postmodern network society. The research findings revealed that these channels have a potential to trigger and into action New Social Movements.en_US
