Abstract
Bu araştırmada orta çocuklukta güvenli bağlanma tarzının benlik algısı ve mükemmelliyetçi tutum ile ilişkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırma korelasyonel bir araştırma olup, değişkenler arası ilişkileri incelemek amacıyla ilişkisel tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 10-12 yaş arası 707 ortaokul öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama araçları olarak, Demografik Bilgi Formu, Kerns Güvenli Bağlanma Ölçeği, Çocuklar İçin Benlik Algısı Profili ve Çocuk ve Ergen Mükemmelliyetçilik Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, güvenli bağlanma ile benlik algısı alt boyutlarının akademik yeterlik, sosyal onay, fiziksel görünüm, atletik yeterlik, davranıştan hoşnut olma ve bütünsel öz değer ile aralarında anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu bulunmuştur. Güvenli bağlanma ile kendine yönelik mükemmelliyetçilik ve güvenli bağlanma ile sosyal kaynaklı mükemmelliyetçilik arasında herhangi bir ilişkinin olmadığı bulgusu elde edilmiştir. Akademik yeterlik, sosyal onay ve atletik benlik ile sosyal kaynaklı mükemmelliyetçilik arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Sosyal onay, fiziksel görünüm ve bütünsel öz değer alt boyutları ile de kendine yönelik mükemmelliyetçilik arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Kız öğrencilerin atletik yeterlik, davranıştan hoşnut olma, toplam benlik ve kendine yönelik mükemmelliyetçilik puanlarının erkek öğrencilerinkine göre anlamlı şekilde yüksek olduğu bulunurken, sosyal kaynaklı mükemmelliyetçilikte erkek öğrencilerin puanları anlamlı şekilde yüksek bulunmuştur. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular alanyazın eşliğinde yorumlanmıştır.
The current study investigated the relation of attachment styles on self esteem and perfectionism during middle childhood. The study is a descriptive research designed as a relational survey method. The participants of the study consist of 707 middle school child aged between 10-12. In order to data collection, Demographical Information Form, Kerns Security Scale, Self Perception Profile for Children and Perfectionism Scale for Children and Adolescents were used. According to results, secure attachment style is positively correlated with academic competence, social competence, physical appearance, athletic competence, behavioral conduct and global self-worth subscales. It is found that secure attachment style is not correlated with self oriented perfectionism and other oriented perfectionism. Academic competence, social competence and athletic competence is correlated with other oriented perfectionism. Whereas social competence, physical appearance and global self-worth are correlated with self oriented perfectionism. Also it is found that girls had higher scores of athletic competence, behavioral conduct, total self esteem and self oriented perfectionism. However other oriented perfectionism scores are higher in the boys’ scale. The findings are discussed in the light of the literature.
