Cervical cancer is the third most common malignancy following the endometrium and ovary among the gynecologic disorders. Although, the mortality of the cervix cancer markedly decreased after the introduction of the specific screening method relatively, this type of cancer still preserves its importance. The current system of staging for cervical cancer is based on the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) classification which is the mainstay for the treatment planning. There is no imaging finding in the stage IA and in situ cancer. In this article, the role of the advanced imaging modalities like magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography and ultrasonography in the evaluation of the tumor itself, nodal involvement, response to therapy and recurrencies will be discussed.en_US
