Özet
Gelenek ve çağdaşlık kesitinde Türk ve Japon evinin incelendiği bu tezin amacı kültürel değerler, normlar ve gelenekler ile mekân kullanımındaki davranış kalıplanın saptanmasıdır. Kültürel sürekliliğin fiziksel mekânda somutlaştırılması ve tarihsel analizler aracılığı ile konut tasarımının incelenmesidir. Bu bağlamda Geleneksel Türk Evi, tarihsel süreci, mekânsal ve biçimsel özellikleri bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Bu çerçevede, Geleneksel Türk Evi, Sedad Hakkı Eldem ve Turgut Cansever’in projeleri çerçevesinde incelenmiş ve bu mimarların projeleri, gelenek – çağdaşlık kesitinde ele alınmıştır. Geleneksel Japon Evi ise, kültürel geçmişi ve biçimsel özellikleri ile mekânsal özellikleri açısından incelenmiştir. Bu inceleme, Tadao Ando ve Hiroshi Nakamura’nın projeleri çerçevesinde yapılarak, yine gelenek- çağdaşlık kesitinde ele alınmıştır. Türk evi incelemesinde, “Geleneksel Plan Tipolojisi” bağlamında mekân organizasyonu, “Çatı/Saçak”, “Pencere Düzeni” ve “Çıkma” uygulamaları bağlamında ise, biçimsel özellikleri, yöntem olarak kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Türk evinin tarihsel süreci, plan tipolojisi, kesit, cephe ve mekân analizi örneklerle araştırılmıştır Japon evi incelemesinde ise, “Tatami”, “Genkan”, “Engawa”, Shoji/Fusuma” kavramları bağlamında mekân organizasyonu, “Sukiya”, “Sansui”, ve “Asimetri” kavramları bağlamında ise, biçimsel özellikleri yine yöntem olarak kullanılmıştır.
This thesis examines the Turkish and Japanese houses at the point of tradition and modernity, and aims to determine the cultural values, norms and traditions and behavioral patterns in space usage. The main objective is to make cultural continuity concrete in the physical space and to examine housing design through historical analysis. In this context, Traditional Turkish House is dealt with in the context of historical process, spatial and formal features. Within this framework, the traditional Turkish House is examined through the projects of Sedad Hakkı Eldem and Turgut Cansever and the projects of these architects are handled at the point of tradition and modernity while the traditional Japanese House is studied in terms of cultural history, formal features and spatial features. This review is carried out within the framework of the projects of Tadao Ando and Hiroshi Nakamura, dealing with tradition and modernity. In the examination of Turkish house,place organization is used as a method in the context of "Traditional Plan Typology" while in the context of Roof-Eaves, Window Layout and Console applications formal features are used as methods. In this context, historical process of the Turkish house and its plan typology, section, facade and space analysis are investigated with examples and In the Japanese house examination, space organization is used as a method in the context of "Tatami", "Genkan", "Engawa", Shoji / Fusuma " while In the context of the concepts of "Sukiya", "Sansui", and "Asymmetry", their formal features are used as methods.
