2.15.3 programı, ortalama, standart sapma, yüzdelik, Shapiro-Wilk testi, t testi, Mann-Whitney U testi, Wilcoxon signed-ranks testi, Pearson ki-kare testi ve Fisher-Freeman-Halton exact test kullanıldı.
This randomized controlled experimental study was conducted to determine the effect of music played during chemotherapy on depression, anxiety, stress levels and chemotherapy symptoms. The population of the study consisted of patients who were treated in the daily outpatient chemotherapy unit of maltepe university faculty of medicine hospital between june and september 2023. The sample consisted of 49 patients (24 intervention and 25 control) who met the inclusion criteria and agreed to participate in the study. The data were collected using the "personal ınformation form", "depression anxiety-stress scale (dass-42)", "edmonton symptom diagnostic scale (esds)". In the evaluation of the data, R vers. 2.15.3 program, mean, standard deviation, percentage, Shapiro-Wilk test, t test, Mann-Whitney U test, Wilcoxon signed-ranks test, Pearson chi square test and Fisher-Freeman-Halton exact test were used. As a result of this study, it was found that the music played during chemotherapy was effective in reducing depression, anxiety and stress and there was a statistically significant difference (p?0,05), and there was a statistically significant difference in the symptoms of pain, fatigue, nausea, sadness, anxiety, insomnia, loss of appetite, feeling good and shortness of breath, but there was no significant difference in the scores of changes in skin and nails, sores in the mouth and numbness in the hands, and there was no significant difference in the scores of shortness of breath, changes in skin and nails, sores in the mouth and numbness in the hands.
