dc.description.abstractSon yıllarda, hem insanlarda hem de hayvanlarda giderek artan sıklıkta yeni ve tekrar önem kazanan viral infeksiyonlar bildirilmektedir. Bu hastalıkların görülmesi büyük olasılıkla insanın virus, bakteri ve hayvanların denge içinde yaşadıkları doğal çevreye yaptığı müdahaleler sonucu, bu nadir patojenlerin veya konakçılarının sayısındaki artışa bağlıdır. Bu yazıda aralarında Hantavirus, Batı Nil en-sefaliti virusu ve Ebola virüsünün da bulunduğu bazı özel viruslar hakkında güncel bilgiler verilmekte ve bu virusla-rın görülme sıklığındaki artışın nedenleri tartışılmaktadır.en_US
dc.description.abstractEmerging viral infections in both humans and animals have been reported with increased frequency in recent years. The reasons of new diseases are intriguing but are most probably related to man's disturbance of an environment where viruses and bacteria have coexisted with animals, allowing an increase in the numbers of either the pathogen or its animal host. In this review, we describe recent advances in our understanding of several selected viruses of particular concern like Hantavirus, West Nile virus and Ebola virus and discuss underlying factors for their emergence.en_US
