dc.description.abstractIn this study, the unique solvability and numerical solution of coupled sine Gordon equations is considered. The variational method is implemented to obtain unique weak solution. A new hybrid numerical method which combines finite difference method and fixed point iteration is used to solve the generalized form of coupled sine-Gordon equations. The novel first order of accuracy stable difference scheme is employed with a fixed point iteration for the approximate solution of the nonlinear coupled system. Numerical experiments are presented with error analysis, to verify the accuracy of the proposed method.en_US
