Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenlerin Suriyeli öğrencilerin eğitimde yaşadıkları sorunları açığa çıkarmak ve bu sorunlara ilişkin çözüm önerilerini ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada nitel araştırma desenlerinden fenomenoloji deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu belirlenmesinde amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden ölçüt örnekleme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Bu kapsamda araştırmanın çalışma grubunu İstanbul İli Maltepe İlçesi Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğüne bağlı Suriyeli öğrencilerin sayıca fazla olarak eğitim gördüğü devlet ilkokullarında görev yapan ve en az bir yıl Suriyeli öğrencilerin eğitiminde deneyimi olan 9 yönetici ve 20 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Veriler araştırmacı tarafından hazırlanmış yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin analizinde nitel veri analiz yöntemlerinden içerik analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda okul yöneticileri ve öğretmenlerin görüşlerine göre Suriyeli öğrencilerin eğitiminde karşılaşılan en önemli sorunların dil ve iletişim sorunu olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Bunların yanında velilerle iletişim, eğitim politikalarının yerinde olmaması, rehber öğretmen eksikliği, devam- devamsızlık, öz bakım, materyal eksikliği ve uyum sorunu, gibi sorunlar olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Araştırmada bazı öğretmen ve öğrencilerin Suriyeli öğrencileri kabulü ortaya çıkan diğer bir sonuçtur. Yaşanılan bu sorunlara yönelik anasınıfından itibaren dil eğitimi verilmesi, velilere kapsamlı Türkçe dil kurslarının düzenlenmesi, okula başlamadan oryantasyon eğitimi gibi çözüm önerileri ortaya çıkmıştır.
The aim of this research is to reveal the problems of school administrators and teachers in education of Syrian students and to propose solutions to these problems. Phenomenology design, one of the qualitative research designs, was used in the research. Criterion sampling technique, one of the purposeful sampling methods, was used to determine the study group of the research. In this context, the study group of the research consists of 9 administrators and 20 teachers who work in public primary schools affiliated to the Directorate of National Education in Maltepe District of Istanbul, where the number of Syrian students is higher, and who have at least one year of experience in the education of Syrian students. The data were obtained with a semi-structured interview form prepared by the researcher. Content analysis method, one of the qualitative data analysis methods, was used in the analysis of the obtained data. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the most important problems encountered in the education of Syrian students, according to the opinions of school administrators and teachers, are language and communication problems. In addition to these, it has been revealed that there are problems such as communication with parents, lack of educational policies, lack of guidance teachers, absenteeism, self-care, lack of materials and adaptation problems. Another result of the research is that some teachers and students accept Syrian students. There have been suggestions for solutions to these problems, such as providing language education from kindergarten, organizing comprehensive Turkish language courses for parents, and orientation training before starting school.
