dc.description.abstractBu araştırmanın amacı, normal ve obez kadınlardaki benlik saygısı ve beden imgesi düzeyinin, cinsel doyuma nasıl etki ettiğini belirlemektir. Ayrıca bazı demografik özelliklerin cinsel doyum ile ilişkisi, bu çalışma kapsamında incelenmiştir. Bu amaçlarla çalışma, uygun ve kartopu örnekleme yöntemi ile İstanbul ilinde yaşayan, yaşları 22 ile 66 arasında değişen, yaş ortalaması 38.27±8.55 olan, toplam 240 evli kadınla yürütülmüştür. Katılımcılara Demografik Bilgi Formu, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Çok Boyutlu Bedenini Değerlendirme Ölçeği, Golombok-Rust Cinsel Doyum Ölçeği ve Psikolojik Belirti Tarama Testi (SCL-90-R) uygulanmıştır. Regresyon analizi sonucunda, cinsel doyumu en fazla yordayan değişkenin benlik saygısı olduğu; bu sırayı beden imgesi ve beden kitle indeksi (BKİ) düzeyi değişkenlerinin izlediği belirlenmiştir. Genel olarak, cinsel doyum puanı arttıkça, benlik saygısı puanının ve BKİ düzeyinin de arttığı, bedeni imgesi puanının ise azaldığı görülmüştür. Buna ek olarak, normal ve obez grupları arasında benlik saygısı açısından anlamlı bir fark çıkmazken; BKİ düzeyi ile benlik saygısı arasında da anlamlı bir ilişkinin olmadığı görülmüştür. Araştırmanın bulguları literatür doğrultusunda tartışılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this research is to determine how self-esteem and body image level in normal and obese women affect sexual satisfaction. In addition, the relationship between some demographic characteristics and sexual satisfaction was examined within the scope of this study. For this purpose, the study was conducted with a total of 240 married women living in İstanbul with ages ranging from 22 to 66, with a mean age of 38.27 ± 8.55. Demographic Information Form, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, Multidimensional Body Mass Index Scale, Golombok-Rust Sexual Satisfaction Scale and Psychological Symptom Score Test (SCL-90-R) were administered to participants. As a result of the regression analysis, it was found that self-esteem is the strongest predictor of sexual satisfaction. It has been determined that the body image and the body mass index (BMI) level variables follow this order. In general, as the sexual satisfaction score increased, the self-esteem score and the BMI level increased and the body image score decreased. In addition, there was no significant difference in self-esteem between normal and obese groups. There was also no significant relationship between BMI and self-esteem. The findings of the study were discussed in the light of the literature.en_US
