dc.description.abstractBu çalışma “Sosyal zekâ ve yaşam doyumu arasında anlamlı bir ilişki var mıdır?” sorusundan hareketle yapılmıştır. Araştırma genel tarama modellerinin alt modeli olan ilişkisel tarama modeliyle ortaya konmuş ve basit tesadüfi örnekleme yöntemiyle İstanbul ilindeki katılımcılardan rastgele seçilmiş 511 kişiyle yürütülmüştür. Çalışmadaki veriler Tromso Sosyal Zekâ Ölçeği ve Yetişkin Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 25.0 paket programı ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda 21-29 yaş arası katılımcıların 20 yaş ve altı katılımcılardan daha yüksek sosyal bilgi sürecine ve erkek katılımcıların kadın katılımcılardan daha yüksek sosyal bilgi sürecine ve sosyal farkındalığa sahip oldukları saptanmıştır. Ayrıca sosyal farkındalık arttıkça genel yaşam doyumu, ilişki doyumu, benlik doyumu, sosyal çevre doyumu ve iş doyumunun arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Genel yaşam doyumunun, benlik doyumunun, sosyal çevre doyumunun yordayıcısının sosyal beceri olduğu saptanan önemli sonuçlardandır. Türkiye’de bu konular üzerine yapılan teorik çalışmalar sınırlı olduğu görülmektedir. Bu nedenle farklı alanlarda, özellikle meslek gruplarının üzerinde sosyal zekânın yaşam doyumu üzerindeki etkisi konusunda akademik çalışmaların arttırılması önerilmektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThis study’s hypothesis is stemmed from the question of: “Is there a significant relation between social intelligence and satisfaction of life?” The research is conducted via the relational survey design, which is a submodel of the general survey models; and randomly selected 511 subjects from Istanbul, participitated with the simple random sampling method. Data is collected using the Tromsø Social Intelligence Scale (TSIS) and the The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS). The statistics were performed using SPSS (version 25.0, IBM). Results showing that the participants between the ages of 21-29 has a higher social information process than the participants aged 20 and under, and the male participants has a higher social information process and social awareness than the female participants. In addition, as social awareness increases, it is determined that general life satisfaction, relationship satisfaction, self-satisfaction, social environment satisfaction and job satisfaction increases. One of the significant results is that social skills are predictors of general life satisfaction, self-satisfaction and social environment satisfaction. Research studies on these topics in Turkey is very limited. For this reason, it is recommended to increase academic studies on the effect of social intelligence on life satisfaction in different fields, especially on occupational groups.en_US
