dc.description.abstractAmaç: Astım ve diğer atopik hastalıklardan alerjik rinit ve egzema çocukluk çağında görülen yaygın kronik hastalıklardır. Uluslararası Çocukluk Çağı Astım ve Alerjik Hastalıklar Çalışması (ISAAC) bu konuda yapılmış ilk çalışmadır ve farklı lumlarda kullanılmaya uygun standardize edilmiş bir soru formu geliştirilmiştir. Bu çalışma tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel araştırma tipinde planlanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı ilkokul çocuklarında astım, rinit ve egzema prevelansını ve etkileyen faktörleri belirlemektir. Yöntem: Bu çalışma İstanbul’da bir ilkokul da öğrenim gören, 11-15 yaş grubu 321 öğrenci ile yapılmıştır. Veri toplama aracı olarak ISAAC Soru Formu kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çocukların yaş ortalaması 13.4±0.9 bulunmuştur. %43’ü kız %57’si erkektir. Astım prevelansı %17.1, egzema prevelansı %4,1’dir. Çocukların %28,7 “sürekli hırıltılı solunum„ , %43’ü“burun tıkanıklığı„, %9’u “kaşıntılı deri döküntüleri„ yaşamıştır. Hırıltılı solunum semptomunu etkileyen en önemli değişken olarak düşük gelir düzeyi bulunmuştur (OR=4,95, CI=1,42- 17,42). Sonuç: Bu çalışma da astım, alerjik rinit ve egzema hastalıklarının semptomları yüksek olarak bulunmuştur. Bu çocuklar için birincil koruma programları uygulanması önerilmektedir.en_US
dc.description.abstractObjectives: Asthma and other atopic disorders allergic rhinitis and eczema are very common chronic illness affecting children. The International Study of Asthma and Allergies in Childhood (ISAAC) was the first study carried out worldwide using standardized questionnaires. This questionnaire was suitable for different geographical locations and languages. The study was wanted to be descriptive and cross-sectional. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of asthma, rhinitis and eczema and related factors among children of elementary school. Method: The study area was on elementary school in Istanbul. The sample included 321 children whose were aged (11-15). Data were collected by the ISAAC questionnaire. Results: It was found that children mean age was 13.4±0.9. The girls were 43 %, boys were 57%. The prevalence of asthma was 17,1 % and the prevalence of eczema was 4,1% . A total of 92 (28,7 %) children had a history of “ever wheezing”, 43% of the children had “sneezing and blocked nose” and 9% of children had “itchy rash”. High income was found to be factor with the largest impact of ever wheezing (OR=4,95, CI=1,42-17,42). Conclusion: In this study were found high prevalence symptoms of asthma, rhinitis and eczema. Primary prevention is necessary for these children.en_US
