| dc.description.abstract | The concept of entrepreneurship is mainly evaluated on the axis that covers commercial initiatives and discussed with a profitability-oriented perspective that describes the transformation of economic opportunities into new values. However, social entrepreneurship practices that can change the destiny of geography and society are needed now more than ever before. From education to nature, from health to human rights, the steps to be taken by social entrepreneurs will lead to further studies that can be promising for social transformation. The main purpose of this study is to discuss the concept of social entrepreneurship within the framework of Aristotle’s understanding of ethics. This study, based on the literature review and aimed to address social entrepreneurship from Aristotle’s point of view and to discuss it with current social entrepreneurship examples. As in Aristotle’s view of the concept of action-oriented happiness, then, ‘what should we do to make our living activities virtuous and suitable for virtue?’ Because, according to Aristotle, virtuous actions create human life; action is the most important building block for one’s existence; one who is in a state of inaction is not considered to have lived a virtuous life, even if he/she is virtuous as an individual. This study aims to evaluate social entrepreneurship, where courage, knowledge, research and action cluster, through Aristotle’s discourse on the subject, and to discuss it by including current examples of social entrepreneurship. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Girişimcilik kavramı ağırlıklı olarak ticari amaçlı girişimleri kapsayan eksende değerlendirilmekte; ekonomik fırsatların yeni değerlere dönüşümünü anlatan kârlılık odaklı bakış açısıyla ele alınmaktadır. Oysa bir coğrafyanın, toplumun refahını artıracak, yaşam şartlarında büyük değişimlere yol açabilecek sosyal girişimcilik uygulamalarına günümüzde her zamankinden daha çok ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. Eğitimden doğaya, sağlıktan insan haklarına; toplumsal dönüşüm için umut olabilecek nitelikteki daha fazla çalışmaya sosyal girişimcilerin atacakları adımlar öncülük edecektir. Bu çalışmanın ana amacı sosyal girişimcilik kavramının Aristotelesçi etik anlayış çerçevesinde ele alınıp alınamayacağını tartışmaktır. Literatür taramasına dayalı olarak yapılan bu çalışmada sosyal girişimciliği Aristoteles’in bakış açısı ile ele alarak, güncel sosyal girişimcilik örnekleri ile konuyu tartışmak amaçlanmıştır. Peki Aristoteles’in eylem odaklı mutluluk kavramına bakışında olduğu gibi ‘yaşama etkinliğimizi erdemli kılmak ve erdeme uygun hale getirmek için neler yapmalıyız?’ Çünkü Aristoteles’e göre erdemli eylemler insanın hayatını var etmektedir; eylem kişinin varoluşu için en önemli yapıtaşıdır; eylemsizlik halinde olan birey ise, birey olarak erdemli bir karakter olsa dahi, erdemli bir hayat yaşamış sayılmamaktadır. Bu çalışmada cesaret, bilgi, araştırma ve eylemin buluştuğu sosyal girişimciliğin Aristoteles’in öğretisi ve konu hakkında etik tartışmaları ile değerlendirilmesi; güncel gönüllülük çalışmaları ve sosyal girişimcilik örneklerine yer verilerek ele alınması hedeflenmiştir. | en_US |
