The aim of the present paper is to obtain a common fixed point theorem by employing the new introduced notion of weak subsequential continuity [1]. This new notion is a proper generalization of weak reciprocal continuity introduced recently by R.P. Pant et al. [3] and sequential continuity of type (Af ) and (Ag) introduced by D. Gopal et al. [2], and is applicable to compatible mappings as well as R-weakly commuting mappings of type (Af ) (resp. (Ag) and (P)). Our results generalize several fixed point theorems.en_US
