dc.description.abstractSanayi devrimi ve endüstrileşme ile birlikte enerjiye olan ihtiyaç artmış, fosil yakıt tüketimi sonucu atmosferdeki sera gazı miktarı ciddi boyutlara ulaşmıştır. Bunun sonucunda da küresel ısınma ve çevre kirliliği meydana gelmiş ve canlı varlıkların yaşamlarını sürdürebilirliği tehlikeye girmiştir. Sanayileşmenin ve buna paralel olarak kentlerde yoğunlaşan insan nüfusunun neden olduğu çevre kirliliği, bugün için bölgesel bir tehlike olmaktan çıkmış, dünya ülkelerini ilgilendiren bir problem haline gelmiştir. Ülkeler, çevre kirliliği ve küresel ısınma ile mücadelede birtakım çevre politikaları üretmiş ve bu politikaların uygulanmasında ekonomik araçları daha fazla kullanmaya başlamıştır. Bu ekonomik araçlardan biri de karbon vergisidir. Karbon vergisi, fosil yakıtların yanması ile oluşan karbondioksit emisyon miktarı oranında alınan bir vergi çeşididir. Karbon vergisi, devlet için ek bir gelir kaynağı olmakla birlikte üreticiler ve işletmeler için mali bir yükümlülüktür. Dolayısıyla karbon vergisinin çevre vergileri kapsamında değerlendirilmesi ve çevre kirliliğini önlemede faydalı bir model olmasının yanında, ekonomik büyümeyi engelleyen yönü de bulunmaktadır. Bu tezde sanayileşme ile birlikte artan enerji ihtiyacı nedeniyle meydana gelen çevre kirliliği ve küresel ısınmadan kaynaklı ülkelerin almış olduğu çevre politikalarının karbon vergisi üzerindeki etkisi araştırılmıştır.en_US
dc.description.abstractAs well as industrial revolution and industrialization, the need for energy has increased and the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has reached serious dimensions as a result of fossil fuel consumption. Consequently, global warming and environmental pollution have occurred and sustainability of living things has been endangered. In parallel this, environmental pollution due to concentrated in industrialization and human population that has ceased to be a regional threat and has become a problem which concerns the countries of the world. Countries have produced some environmental policies in the fight against environmental pollution and global warming that have started to use economic tools more in the implementation of these policies. One of these economic tools is the carbon tax. Carbon tax is a type of tax that is collected in proportion to the amount of carbon dioxide emissions generated by combustion of fossil fuels. The carbon tax is an additional source of income for the government and a financial obligation for producers and businesses. therefore, it also has an aspect that hinders economic growth, besides valuating the carbon tax within the scope of environmental taxes and being a useful model in preventing environmental pollution. In this thesis, environmental pollution caused by increasing energy need with industrialization and effect of environmental policies of countries due to global warming on carbon tax were studied.en_US
