Özet
A latin expression, to signify bad or unskillful practice in a physician or other professional person, such as midwife, lawyer, etc., whereby the health or welfare ot the patient is injured. The failure of a professional to follow the accepted standards of practice of his or her profession. In this article we paid attention to the short history of medical malpractice, the aggrements of the international medical associations, legal devolepments and legislations in our country and suggestions to the current situations. The importence of the subject is very clear from the standpoint of "forensic medicine" and "medical daily practice". But the subject still doesn't get the necessary attention. Beginning with the maturation of the subject between the medical students and getting the support of the civilian public associations, we think that enough attention could be collected and these problems could be got under control.
