Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı İstanbul’un Maltepe ilçesindeki ilkokulların öğrenme ortamlarının “yenilikçi öğrenme ortamları” bağlamında 21. yüzyıl öğrenme alanları açısından ne düzeyde olduğunu ortaya çıkarmak ve araştırmanın alt problemlerine cevap aramaktır. Çalışmanın evreni İstanbul’un Maltepe ilçesindeki devlete bağlı 30 ilkokul oluşmaktadır. Çalışma örneklemi bu evrenden rastgele seçilen 15 ilkokuldur. Araştırmada veri toplama araçları olarak sınıf ortamı öğretmen anketi, sınıf ortamı gözlem formu, okul bahçesi gözlem formu, okul binası gözlem formu, öğretmenler odası gözlem formu, okul güvenliği gözlem formu, hijyen ve beslenme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada karma araştırma yöntemlerinden eş zamanlı iç içe geçmiş tasarımla yürütülmüştür. Bu çalışmanın nitel boyutunda araştırma yöntemlerinden çoklu durum analizi yönteminden, nicel boyutunda ise tarama deseninden faydalanılmıştır. Okul müdürleriyle yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen veriler içerik analiz yöntemine tabi tutulmuştur. Araştırmada elde edilen nicel veriler, frekans ve yüzde dağılımları hesaplanarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre araştırma kapsamındaki ilkokulların bahçe, sınıf ve öğretmenler odası boyutunda yenilikçi öğrenme ortamları bağlamında yetersiz oldukları görülmüştür. Okul güvenliği boyutunda yeterli olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Hijyen ve beslenme boyutunda orta düzeyde olmadığı görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerle yapılın anket sonuçlarına göre sınıflarının yenilikçi öğrenme ortamları açısından durumunun yetersiz olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Okul müdürleriyle yapılan görüşme sonuçlarına göre okul müdürleri yenilikçi öğrenme ortamlarının eğitim öğretimdeki yeri, etkisi ve önemi konusunda donanıma sahip olmalarına rağmen uygulama aşamasında yeterli bütçeye ihtiyaç duyduklarını belirtmişlerdir.
The aim of this research is to reveal the level of learning environments of primary schools in a district of Istanbul in terms of 21st century learning environments in the context of "innovative learning environments" and to seek answers to the problems of the research. The universe of this research consists of 30 state-affiliated primary schools in a district of Istanbul. The sample of the research is 15 primaryschools randomly selected from this population. As data collection tools in research, "classroom environment teacher survey, classroom environment observation form, school garden observation form, school building observation form, teachers room observation form, school safety observation form, hygiene and nutrition form" were been used as data collection tools. The research was conducted with simultaneous-nested pattern, one of the mixed research methods. In the qualitative dimension of this study, the multiple case analysis method, which is one of the research methods, was used, and the scanning pattern was used in the quantitative dimension. The data obtained from the interviews with the school administrators were been based on the content analysis method. Quantitative data obtained in the research were analyzed by calculating frequency and percentage distributions. According to the results obtained from the research, it was seen that the "garden, classroom and teacher's room" of the primary schools within the scope of the research were insufficient in condutions of innovative learning environments. It has been concluded that it is not medium-level in condutions of school safety. It was been observed that it was not at a moderate level in condutions of hygiene and nutrition. According to the findings obtained from the talks made with the teachers, it was concluded that the situation of the classrooms is insufficient in conditions of innovative learning environments. According to the findings obtained from the interviews with the school administrators, it was concluded that despite of the school administrators were equipped with the place, effect and importance of innovative learning environments in education, there were budget problems during the implementation phase.
