dc.description.abstractIn this article, we compare suitable preconditioners for solving linear systems arising from the class of fourth-order approximations employed for solving hyperbolic partial di®erential equations, u uf(x; t; u; u; u)ttxxxta + b =subject to appropriate initial and boundary conditions, where a and b are constants. Numerical results show that the proposed preconditioned methods produces an accurate and oscillation free solution.en_US
