Nowadays Globalization's processes happen constantly having a huge impact on several aspects of life, among them also art. We may say that globalization has created its own form of art which is net.art. This presentation aims to define net.art indicating its origins in global communication, compare the features between globalization and net.art and then to consider whether net.art brings a new value to art or it is rather a threat, ln the summary l would like to discuss the importance of a proper use and understanding of net.art, Net art is a digital form which uses internet techniques (Java, html, etc) and is distributed via internet. lts projects are all works of arts that may exist only in the internet space, losıng their meanings out of it.
