Özet
Son zamanlarda bariatrik cerrahi uygulanması dünya genelinde giderek yaygınlık kazanmıştır. Bariatrik cerrahi ile obeziteye bağlı gelişen hastalıkların ciddi oranda azaldığı ya da tamamen ortadan kalktığı yapılan araştırmalarla ortaya çıkmıştır. Bariatrik cerrahi sonrası hastaların yaşam kalitelerini ölçen yeterli sayıda kaynak bulunamaması bizi bu çalışmayı yapmaya yönlendirmiştir. Bu çalışma, bariatrik cerrahi sonucunda verilen kilonun yaşam kalitesi üzerine etkisini incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmamızın evrenini Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi Antalya Eğitim ve Araştırma Hastanesi’ ne bariatrik cerrahi olmak için başvuran hastalar oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 53 obez hasta oluşturmuştur. Verilerimizi Kişisel Veri Toplama Formu ve Kilonun Yaşam Kalitesine Etkisi Anketi – Kısa Sürüm (IWQOL-Lite) kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Obez bireylerin kiloları ve beden kitle indeksleri azaldıkça Kilonun Yaşam Kalitesine Etkisi Anketi – Kısa Sürüm (IWQOL-Lite)’ nden aldıkları puanların düzenli olarak arttığı tespit edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak morbid obez hastalara uygulanan bariatrik cerrahi kilo kaybı açısından son derece etkili bir yöntemdir. Hastalar kilo verdikçe ameliyat sonrası dönemdeki yaşam kaliteleri artmıştır.
Recently, the practice of bariatric surgery has become increasingly widespread throughout the world. Bariatric surgery, obesity due to the development of diseases significantly decreased or completely eliminated has emerged from research. The inability to find sufficient resources to measure the quality of life of patients after bariatric surgery led us to do this study. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of bariatric surgery on quality of life. The population of our study consisted of patients who applied for bariatric surgery to University of Health Sciences Antalya Training and Research Hospital. The sample of the study consisted of 53 obese patients who agreed to participate in the study. Our data were collected using the Personal Data Collection Form and the Questionnaire on Quality of Life Impact Questionnaire - Short Version (IWQOL-Lite). As the weight of obese individuals and body mass index decreased, the number of points they received from the Questionnaire on Quality of Life - Short Version (IWQOL-Lite) increased regularly. In conclusion, bariatric surgery applied to morbidly obese patients is a very effective method in terms of weight loss. As patients lose weight, their quality of life has increased in the postoperative period.
