dc.description.abstractThe Bourj Hammoud Bridge was built in order to connect two important parts of the city but ended up disconnecting two secondary parts, one of which being Bourj Hammoud, one of the most densely populated districts in the Middle East. The bridge was built in the late 1990's to provide an easier to and from the city. Nevertheless, due to the bridge's design decisions and the low budget, the bridge carved the districts in separate parts with major repercussions...en_US
