| dc.description.abstract | Bu araştırmanın amacı, 18-20 yaş arası üniversite öğrencilerinde sigara kullanımı ile Öz saygı arasindaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmanın çalışma grubu İstanbul ili Maltepe ilçesinde yer alan bir üniversiteye kayıtlı 300 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Araştırmada ölçme aracı olarak Coopersmith Öz Saygı Envanteri kullanılmıştır. Araştırma grubu ile yüz yüze görüşme yöntemiyle yapılmış anketler uygulanmıştır. Öz saygısı yüksek olan bireylerin sigara ve tütün maddelerine karşı kullanım yatkınlığının öz saygısı olmayan bireylere göre daha az olduğu, saptanmıştır. Kadın ve erkek üniversite öğrencileri arasında öz saygı ölçeği puanları açısından istatistiksel anlamlı fark olduğu saptanmıştır. Sigara kullanan ve kullanmayan üniversite öğrencilerinde öz saygı ölçeği puanları açısından istatistiksel anlamlı fark olduğu saptanmıştır. Gelir algısı grupları arasında öz saygı ölçek puanları açısından istatistiksel anlamlı fark bulgulanamamıştır. Yaş grupları arasında öz saygı ölçek puanları açısından önemli derecede fark olduğu ve bu farkın istatistiksel olarak da anlamlı olduğu bulgulanamamıştır. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | The aim of this research is to examine the relationship between smoking and self-esteem in university students aged 18-20. The study group of this study consisted of 300 students enrolled at a university located in the province of Maltepe, Istanbul. Coopersmith Self Respect Inventory was used as a measurement tool in the research. Questionnaires with face-to-face interview method were applied to the research group. Individuals with high self-esteem were found to be less likely than non-self-esteemed individuals to use tobacco and tobacco products. There was a statistically significant difference between female and male university students in terms of self-esteem scale scores. There was a statistically significant difference in terms of self-esteem scale scores among university students who smoke and do not smoke. There was no statistically significant difference in the self-esteem scale scores between the income-sense groups. There was no significant difference in the self-esteem scale scores between the age groups and this difference was not statistically significant. | en_US |
