dc.description.abstractBelgesel sinema toplumsal olaylardan ve olgulardan beslenen, etkilenen ve beslendiği toplumu etkileyen bir sanattır. Çünkü belgesel sinema ele aldığı temalar, temaları ele alış biçimi, iletileri, söylemi, gösterim biçimleri, vb. kendine özgü nitelikleri gereği sinemanın diğer alanlarına oranla daha sorgulayıcı, daha eleştirel, dolayısıyla daha muhalif bir sanattır. Türkiye'de 1990'lı yıllarla birlikte belgesel sinema alanında kültür, sanat, tarih (çoğu zaman resmi tarih) temalarından uzaklaşılmaya başlandığı; yeni temaların ele alınmaya başlandığı, toplumsal duyarlılığın arttığı ve daha eleştirel yaklaşımların ortaya konduğu görülmektedir. Bu yeni temalardan biri de "çevre"dir. Türkiye'de iktidarların ya da sermayenin uyguladığı/uygulattığı tahripkâr çevre politikalarına karşı üretilen çevre temalı belgesel filmler ile bu filmlerin yönetmenlerinin muhalif bir söylem geliştirdikleri; festival, özel gösterim ve internet gösterimleriyle bu konuda gündemin önemli bir parçası haline geldikleri görülmektedir. Tez kapsamında; muhalif bir söylem biçimi olan belgesel sinemada çevre temasını işleyen filmlerin, muhalefet alanı olarak nasıl konumlandığı, 2000 sonrası Türkiye'de gösterimleri gerçekleştirilmiş olan çevre temalı belgesel filmler ve kültürel etkinlik alanı olarak festivaller incelenmiştir. Çalışmada örneklem olarak belgesel film yönetmeni Rüya Arzu Köksal'ın sineması, muhaliflik, medya denetimi, iktidar ve muhalefet kavramları bağlamında ele alınmış, Türkiye'de çevre filmlerinin muhalefet alanı olarak taşıdığı nitelik ve önem değerlendirilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractDocumentary film is an art form which is fed and affected by social facts and events affecting in return the society which it is fed by. Because, documentary film is a more questioning, criticizing and accordingly a more opposing form of art with respect to other fields of cinema, due to its themes that are handled, the way of its dealing with those themes, its messages, discourse, screening ways and distinctive characteristics like that. In Turkey with the coming of the years 1990's, it is observed , in the field of documentary film, the onset of drawing away with the themes like culture, art, history ( mostly formal history), handling of new themes, increasing of social sensitivity and more critical approaches' being put forth. One of those new themes is "environment". In Turkey, it is seen that documentary films with environmental themes shot against the environmental destruction policies practiced / put into practice by governments or capitalists and the directors of those films have developed an opposing discourse, thus becoming a significant part of the agenda about the subject by the displaying of their films in festivals, special and internet screenings. In the context of thesis, the way environmental films positions as an opposing area in documentary cinema which is also an opposing form of discourse; documentary films with environmental themes which were shown in post 2000's Turkey and festivals as areas of their cultural efficiency have been investigated. In the study, documentary director, Rüya Arzu Köksal's cinema, has been examined as example in terms of the concepts of opposition, media censorship, power and opposing, the characteristics and the significance of environmental films as an opposition area in Turkey have also been evaluated.en_US
