Özet
lnformal education nowadays has become an important tool in students' persona| and professional assessment. ln reality it includes a way of education that doesn't follow the regulations and the standards of the formal education and the curriculum that traditional schools follow but it has a great role in this context, ln contrary to the formal one, informal education implies a more self-ruling idea, where the relationship between the student and the teacher doesn't follow the hierarchical way of behaving. These new ways cannot be easily implemented in the knowledge society area and it can be very challenging and complicated. The idea that this presentation is about to share is to make clear the idea of non-formal education. The concepts that it incorporates and the best ways possible to be implemented in this situation. The presentation lurthermore incites the idea that schools should create an environment of student- centred pedagogy and informal elements in order to create a more charismatic and attractive atmosphere where students and teachers will have a cIose relationship with one another. Another point the presentation covers is that the basis of informal education in which the educator should be the facilitator and help the students toward a certain task and inspire him or her to a self-learning process. Going beyond the usual forms and overcoming the barriers of the traditional education has become a need today as the old system has failed in many goals and has resulted with unmotivated students or students with restricted visions. The basic issue that is going to be discussed is whether the formal education have space to implement the informal elements as modern day schools need to bring these new methods in order to increase their efficiently in their studying process, to attract as much new generations as possible and to create a mixture of formality and informality in order to graduate students that are ready to step on big stages and enact a huge role in their future goals.
