| dc.description.abstract | Hemoptizi hastayı acil olarak hekime götüren önemli bir semptomdur ve nedeni hızlı bir şekilde belirlenerek tedavi yoluna gidilmelidir. Türkiye’de hemoptizi nedenleri arasında tüberküloz, akciğer kanseri ve bronşektazi ilk sıradadır. Cinsel ilişki ve koitus ile ortaya çıkan hemoptizi literatürde nadir olarak bildirilmiştir. İki yıldır cinsel birliktelik sonrası öksürük ve hemoptizi şikayeti ile başvuran 72 yaşında erkek hasta sunulmuştur. Olgunun tanılanmış sistemik bir hastalığı ve ilaç kulanım öyküsü yoktu. Fizik muayene ve kan tetkikleri normaldi. Hemoptizi etiyolojisine yönelik yapılan Toraks Bilgisayarlı Tomografi(BT) ve HRCT incelemesinde patoloji saptanmadı. EKG normaldi. Ekokardiyografik incelemede hafif derecede mitral stenoz ve hafif derecede mitral regürjitasyon dışında bir bulgu saptanmadı. Hastanın balgam kültürleri ve sitolojisinde patoloji saptanmadı. İntrabronşiyal patolojiyi dışlamak için önerilen bronkoskopik girişimi hasta kabul etmedi. Kardiyoloji konsültasyonu ve takiplerde saptanan hipertansiyon ramipril 5mg/gün başlanarak kontrol altına alındı. Sonuç olarak; hemoptizi şikayeti ile başvuran ve etyolojinin belirlenemediği hastalarda nadir bir neden olarak hemoptizinin cinsel ilişki ile ilgisi hatırlanarak sorgulanabilir. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Hemoptysis is an important symptom that brings the patient to the physician as an acute emergency condition. The etiologic factor has to be ruled out immediately and the treatment should be started. Tuberculosis, lung cancer and bronchiectasis can be considered as first line etiologic factors of hemoptysis in Turkey. Poscoital hemoptysis is a rare condition reported in the literature. We present a case of a 72-year-old man with hemoptysis who experienced the symptom after sexual intercourse for two years. He did not report any comorbid disease and he did not use any medication. His physical examination and laboratory workup were within normal limits. Echocardiography revealed mild mitral stenosis and mild mitral regurgitation. Sputum cultures and cytologic examination were also normal. Bronchoscopic examination was planned to rule out probable intrabronchial lesions but the patient refused the procedure. Cardiology consultation and follow-up revealed hypertension. It was controlled with ramipril 5mg/day. In conclusion; in patients who presented with hemoptysis of unknown etiology, we can question the relationship with coitus considering as a rare cause of the symptom. | en_US |
