Özet
The replantation of amputated extremities is one of the routine procedures in plastic surgery today. Successful replantation can be performed when the amputation stump and the amputated part are suitable for microvascular repair. A very limited number of cases for crossextremity transfers have been reported for traumatic bilateral upper and lower extremity amputations.1–8 Cross-extremity replantation or temporary ectopic implantation can be attempted when the wound conditions preclude orthotopic or immediate replantation. The reported cases of ectopic extremity implantation are sparse, as are the cross-replantation cases.9–12 We report successful salvage of one extremity by cross-hand transfer in a patient with traumatic bilateral upper extremity amputations at different levels.
