Yüksek Lisans Tezi, Öğrenme Güçlüğü Çeken Çocuklar İçin El Yazısı Tanıma İle Öğrenmeyi Kolaylaştırıcı Bir Mobil Öğrenme Uygulaması Tasarımı, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, Bilgisayar Mühendisliği Anabilim Dalı. Bu tez çalışması, okuma zorluğu çeken çocuklar için kullanılan Kelime Kutusu Stratejisi'ne göre mobil cihazlar üzerinde çalışabilmeye olanak sağlayan bir uygulamayı ve uygulama içerisinde el yazısı tanımayı içermektedir. Bu tez toplam 5 bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde tezin amacından, kapsamından ve konuyla ilgili daha önce yapılan çalışmalardan bahsedilmiştir. İkinci bölümde öğrenme zorluğu için kullanılan yöntemlerden ve günümüz teknolojisiyle ilişkisinden bahsedilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde mobil öğrenme ve e-öğrenme kavramlarından, tasarımlarından ve mobil öğrenme içeriklerinden bahsedilmiştir. Dördüncü bölümde el yazısı tanıması, tanıma yöntemleri ve kullanım alanları anlatılmıştır. Son bölümde uygulama altyapısından, içeriğinden, mimarisinden ve uygulama adımlarından, el yazısı tanıma için kullanılan Tesseract'ın eğitiminden bahsedilmiştir.
Master's Thesis, Design of A Mobile Device Application with Handwriting Recognition to Make Learning Easy For Students Who Have Learning Disabilities, T.C Maltepe University, Institute of Sciences, Department of Computer Engineering. This master thesis includes handwriting recognition and an application which runs on mobile devices by using Word Box Strategy for students who have learning disabilities. This thesis consists of 5 sections. Earlier studies about the subject, the purpose and scope of the thesis have been presented in the first section. In the second section, definition of reading disability, used methods for the disability and relations up to date technologies have been mentioned. In the third section, concept and design of mobile learning and e-learning, mobile learning content have been metioned. In the fourth section, recognizing of handwriting, the way of recognizing of processes and its areas of use have been presented. In the last section; application's infrastructure, content, architecture, implementation of stages and training of Tesseract which is used for recognition have been discussed.
