dc.description.abstractİnsanların barınma, depolama, üretim gibi ihtiyaçları doğrultusunda çeşitli mekânlar tasarlanmıştır. Bu ihtiyaçlar çeşitli sebeplerle değişerek mekânlarda değişikliklere yol açmıştır. Endüstri devrimi de ihtiyaçların değişmesinde etkili olmuştur. Endüstri devrimi ile üretim makineler aracılığı ile yapılmaya başlanmıştır. Makinelerin boyut, biçim ve işlev şeması yeni mekân ihtiyaçlarını ortaya çıkarmıştır. Endüstri yapıları bu ihtiyaçtan doğmuştur. Daha sonra teknolojik gelişmeler ve çeşitli sebeplerle bu yapılar kullanım dışı kalmıştır. Kullanım dışı kalan bu yapılar zamanla harap olmaktadır. Harap durumda bulunan endüstri yapılarını koruma altına almak için endüstri mirası kavramı ortaya çıkmıştır. Endüstri mirası kapsamında koruma altına alınan bu yapıların yeniden kullanıma açılabilmesi yeniden işlevlendirme ile sağlanabilir. Bu çalışmada yeniden işlevlendirme ve ilgili kavramlar tartışılmıştır. Seçilen uygun işlev sonrası yapılan müdahaleler, yerinde inceleme olanağı bulunan yurtiçi ve yurtdışındaki yeniden işlevlendirilen endüstri yapı örnekleri ile birlikte irdelenmiştir. Elde edinilen gözlem ve bilgiler doğrultusunda endüstri mirası kapsamında olan ve günümüzde harap durumda bulunan Paşalimanı Un Fabrikası'nın kültür yapısı olarak yeniden kullanıma açılmasının uygunluğu proje etüdü ve önerisi ile test edilmiştir. Asuman Divan'ın 1984 tarihli "Paşa Limanı Un Fabrikası Restorasyon Projesi" isimli tezindeki restitüsyon çalışmaları referans alınarak öneri geliştirilmiştir.en_US
dc.description.abstractVarious spaces have been designed in accordance with the needs of mankind, such as sheltering, storage and production. Changing in time for various reasons, these needs have led to changes in the spaces. Industrial revolution also has been a factor in the change of these needs. With the industrial revolution, production has begun to be made through machinery. Sizes, shapes and functioning schemes of machinery have led to further spatial needs. Industrial constructions have resulted from these further needs. Due to technological improvements and other various reasons later on, the utilization of these constructions was discontinued. The constructions that were no longer utilized are, in time, going to wrack and ruin. In order to take these ruinous constructions under protection, the concept of industrial heritage has arisen. Recovery of these constructions under protection as part of industrial heritage, can be possible through refunctioning. In this study, refunctioning and related concepts are being discussed. The treatments following the determination of the constructions' new functions are examined in conjunction with the examples of both domestic and abroad refunctioned industrial structures which can be investigated on-the-spot. In line with the observations made and information obtained, the availability of Paşalimanı Flour Factory for reutilization as a culturally valuable construction, which at the present time is in ruins and a part of the industrial heritage has been tested within the scope of project investigations and request. The restitution studies in the dissertation by Asuman Divan titled "Restoration Project for Paşalimanı Flour Factory" and under date of 1984 being taken as a reference, a suggestion has been developed.en_US
