dc.description.abstractFixed point theory has important applications in approximation theory, game theory, mathematical economics, potential theory, etc. A number of fixed point theorems have been obtained by various authors in fuzzy metric spaces [1,2,3,4,5]. The aim of this paper is to dene the notion of different types of a pair of compatible self maps (f, g) in a fuzzy 2-metric space and prove some common fixed point theorem for them.en_US
