Özet
Travma çalışmaları, sosyal hizmet alanında giderek daha fazla önem kazanan bir konu haline gelmektedir. Sosyal hizmet müdahalelerinde kuramsal dayanaklar, sosyal hizmet uzmanları için önemli bir yol göstericidir. Bu derleme çalışmasında temel amaç ülkemizde yeni yaygınlaşmaya başlayan anlatı terapisinin tarihsel gelişimi, felsefi ilkeleri, kullanılan teknikler ve terapi süreci hakkında bilgi verilerek travma çalışmalarında anlatı terapisi uygulamalarını incelemektir. Anlatı terapisinin travma çalışmalarında nasıl kullanıldığına dair literatürde yer alan çalışmaların incelenmesi ve alanyazında bu konuya dair çalışmaların kısıtlılığı bu çalışmanın önemini ortaya koymaktadır. Travmaya yönelik anlatı terapisinin uygulamalarını konu edinen bu çalışmada, ilgili literatür gözden geçirilerek bir perspektif oluşturulması ve travma konusunda anlatı terapisinin uygulamaları ve terapötik teknikler hakkında literatüre katkı sunulması amaçlanmaktadır. Anlatı terapisi 1980’li yıllarda gelişmeye başlamış postmodern bir terapi ekolüdür. Terapinin dayanağını oluşturan felsefi ve teorik ilkeler ve kullanılan terapötik teknikler anlatı terapisini diğer ekollerden farklı kılmaktadır. Anlatı terapisi danışanların problemlerine odaklanmaktan çok onların hikayelerine odaklanmaktadır. Danışanların sahip oldukları veya tanımladıkları problemlerde kültürel, politik ve diğer etmenlerin bu probleme olan etkilerine odaklanmaktadır. Anlatı terapisi bireylerin travmadan nasıl etkilendiklerine odaklanmak yerine bireyin travmaya nasıl tepki verdiği üzerinde durmaktadır. Anlatı terapisinin kuramsal bakış açısında hiç kimse travmanın pasif alıcısı konumunda değildir. Anlatı terapisinde bireylerin hikayelerinin ilk parçası olan travma etkilerine odaklanmaktan ziyade alternatif hikayelere odaklanılmaktadır.
Trauma studies are becoming an increasingly important topic in the field of social work. Theoretical frameworks in social service interventions serve as crucial guides for social service professionals. The primary aim of this review is to provide information on the historical development, philosophical principles, techniques used, and therapeutic process of narrative therapy, which is beginning to gain traction in our country, and to examine its applications in trauma work. The examination of existing literature on how narrative therapy is used in trauma studies, combined with the limited research available on this topic, highlights the significance of this study. This work, focusing on narrative therapy applications for trauma, aims to establish a perspective by reviewing the relevant literature and to contribute to the literature on narrative therapy applications and therapeutic techniques in trauma. Narrative therapy is a postmodern therapy approach thai began developing in the 1980s. The philosophical and theoretical principles that form the basis of the therapy, along with the therapeutic techniques used, distinguish narrative therapy from other schools of thought. Narrative therapy focuses not on clients' problems but rather on their stories. It examines the effects of cultural, political, and other factors on the problems that clients experience or define. Instead of focusing on how individuals are affected by trauma, narrative therapy emphasizes how individuals respond to trauma. In the theoretical perspective of narrative therapy, no one is considered a passive recipient of trauma. Rather than concentrating on the impact of trauma, which constitutes the first part of individuals' stories, narrative therapy.
