| dc.description.abstract | Information retrieval systems (IRS) aim to restore the documents stored on the web matching more users’ queries. However, it is often difficult for the user to formulate exactly their information need. Therefore, retrieval systems sometimes do not suit the supplied results. The problem is caused by the fact that there may be multiple ways of expressing the same idea or describing the same thing, and a user may not know what exact terms have been used by the authors of the documents to be searched. Thus, we propose in this paper a new approach for effective user query reformulation using genetic algorithms. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Enformasyon çağırma sistemleri (EÇS) kullanıcı sorgularını ilişkilendirerek web içerisinde saklı belgeleri geri yüklemeye çalışır. Ancak, kullanıcı için gereken enformasyonu tam anlamıyla formülleştirmek çoğunlukla zordur. Bu nedenle, çağırma sistemleri vaad edilen sonuçlara çoğunlukla uyum sağlayamaz. Bu durum, aynı fikri ifade etmek ya da aynı kavramı tasvir etmek için birden fazla yol olmasından ve kullanıcının, araştırılan belgenin içerisinde yazar tarafından hangi terimlerin kullanıldığını bilmemesinden kaynaklanmaktadır. Bu nedenle, bu çalışmada, genetik algoritma kullanılarak Etkin Kullanıcı Sorgu Reformülasyonuna Yeni Bir Yaklaşım geliştirilmiştir. | en_US |
