dc.description.abstractThe purposeof the present studyis to examine the relation ship between sex role orientation and relation ship satisfaction in Turkish dating couples.Seventy dating couples completed the Bem Sex Role Inventory, the Relationship Assessment Scaleand a demographic information form.The result sindicated that while perceived sex role orientation of the partners was related to relation ship satisfaction, actual sex role orientation of the partners was not related. That is, individuals who perceived their partners as androgynous reported higher levels of relation ship satisfaction than the other perceived sex role classifications.The resultswerediscussedin termsof earlierstudies, sample characteristics and bias in closerelation ships.en_US
