Endoftalmi ve profilaksi

Postoperatif endoftalmiler göz ameliyatlar›ndan sonra geliflebilecek en korkulan komplikasyondur. Son y›llarda cihazlardaki geliflmeler, ameliyatta kullan›lan malzemelerin kalitesinin artmas›na ve etkin profilaksiye ra¤men endoftalmi s›kl›¤› halen %0.1 düzeylerindedir. Bu derlemede, endoftalmi geliflimini engellemek için ameliyat öncesinde, ameliyat esnas›nda ve ameliyat sonras›nda hangi noktalara dikkat edilmesi gerekti¤i vurgulanm›flt›r. Ayn› zamanda bütün önlemlere ra¤men endoftalmi geliflirse de hangi protokolleri uygulamak gerekti¤i üzerinde durulmufltur.

One of the most fearful complications of intraocular surgery is postoperative endophthalmitis. Although there are many advances in surgical devices and instruments in recent years with the use of effective prophylaxis procedures, the incidence of endophthalmitis is still about 0.1%. The aim of this study is to imply the pre-, intra-, and post-operative important points to reduce the incidence of endophthalmitis. Also the treatment protocols were evaluated in case with endophthalmitis despite the prophylactic measures.
