This is a discussion paper in order to show the importance of cognition, metacognition and motivation in an individual's character development through Science. Two studies were illustrated for this reason. By means of the first study it is aimed to provide students with better comprehension skills in Science field by encouraging them to raise an interest in Science and, using this positive environment developed through motivation, build desired and expected behaviors in the society. The study has been applied to 660 students between 2000-2002 at VKV Koc School, Turkey. The other study examined how an individual reacts to questions about self-recognition of that individual's unique selfhood; that individual's feeling fulfilled; that individual's realizing the importance of his impact on his global society. For this, an online survey was conducted. There were 93-submissions gathered from different countries with different education levels and age groups.
