Özet
Amaç: PKOS obezite, insülin direnci, kısırlık, adet düzensizliği gibi birçok hormonal bozuklukla ilişkili bir hastalıktır. MPV kanın pıhtılaşmasını sağlayan trombositlerin boyutlarını gösterir. Bu nedenle trombosit değerleriyle birlikte okunur. Trombosit sayılarının az veya çok olması iltihaplı hastalıklar, böbrek yetmezliği, kanser, diyabet ve kardiyovasküler hastalıklar ile ilişkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Bu çalışmada PKOS hastalarının farklı BMI gruplarındaki MPV değerlerinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem ve gereçler: Bu çalışma 53 PKOS’lu hastanın dosyaları taranarak yapıldı. Tüm hastaların hemogram sonuçlarındaki MPV, PLT, HGB, HCT değerleri raporlandı. Hastaların boy ve kilo bilgileri alınıp vücut kitle endeksleri hesaplanıp, gruplandırıldı. Bulgular: PKOS’lu hastaların farkı BMI gruplarında MPV, HGB, HCT değerleri arasında fark saptanmadı. Hastaların Vücut Kitle Endekslerinin artmasıyla PLT(trombosit) sayıları anlamlı olarak yüksek ölçüldü. Sonuç: Bu çalışmada PKOS’lu hastaların Vücut Kitle Endekslerinin artmasıyla birlikte kanlarında bulunan trombositlerin sayısının artmasının diyabet, insülin direnci ve kardiyovasküler hastalıklarla ilişkili olabileceği değerlendirildi.
Aim: PCOS is a disease related to many different hormonal problems including but not limited to obesity, insulin resistance, infertility and menstrual irregularities. MPV shows the dimensions of the blood platelets that enable the blood to coagulate. For that reason, it is read alongside with the platelet values. It has been determined that the deficiency or surpluses of the platelets are related to the diseases with inflammations, renal impairment, cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular diseases. In this study, researching the MPV figures of PCOS patients in different BMI groups. Method and Equipment: This study is conducted by scanning 53 PCOS patients' files. All patients' MPV, PLT, HGB and HCT values in their hemogram results are reported. Receiving their height and weight information, BMI of every patient is calculated and patients are grouped accordingly. Findings: No difference has been observed in the MPV, HGB and HCT figures of PCOS patients from different BMI groups. As the BMI increases, PLT (blood platelet) figures increased accordingly. Results: In this study, it has been evaluated that as BMI of a PCOS patient increases, the increase of the platelets in their blood can be related to diabetes, insulin resistance and cardiovascular diseases.
