dc.description.abstractBu çalışmanın amacı İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüklerinde görev yapan yöneticilerin yaşadıkları cam tavan sendromunun boyutları ve cam tavan sendromuna ilişkin algılarının belirlenmesidir. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü ile, ilçelerde görev yapan ilçe milli eğitim müdürleri ve şube müdürleri oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın evreninden seçkisiz (random) yöntemi ile seçilen 132 eğitim yöneticisi, araştırmanın örneklemini oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma evreninde bulunan 12 kadın yöneticinin tamamına ulaşılmıştır. Bu çalışmada, veri toplama aracı olarak Karaca (2007)’nın oluşturduğu anket formu kullanılmıştır. Bu anket formu birinci kısımda araştırmaya katılanlara ait demografik değişkenlere ilişkin soruları, ikinci kısımda ise cam tavana ilişkin soruları içermektedir. 5’li Likert tipi olarak düzenlenmiş olan ikinci kısım toplam 38 sorudan oluşmaktadır. Sorular 7 faktörden oluşan bir yapı içerisinde sunulmuştur. Veriler bilgisayar ortamında SPSS 16.0 programında değerlendirilmiştir. İstatistiksel analizlerde non parametrik testlerden Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal-Wallis H testleri kullanılmıştır. Bu araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular cam tavan sendromunu kadınların daha fazla yaşadığını göstermiştir. Kadın yönetici sayısının Türkiye’de ve dünyada az olduğu düşünüldüğünde, kabul görmelerinin zor olduğu söylenebilir. Bu nedenle cam tavana ilişkin araştırmaların daha geniş kitlelerde ve farklı değişkenlerle tekrarlanması önerilebilir.en_US
dc.description.abstractThe aim of this study was to find out the dimensions of the glass ceiling that Provincial National Education Directorates encountered and to identify their perceptions of glass ceiling. The population of the research consists of İstanbul National Education Directorate, İstanbul city, county and branch managers working in national education. 132 education directors who were chosen randomly form the samples of the research. All women directors (12 people) in İstanbul attended to the research. In this study, as a means of data collection Karaca (2007)’s A questionnaire was used. In the first section of the questionnaire, the participants of the research questions related to demographic variables, while the second part contains questions related to the glass ceiling. There are 38 questions which are arranged according to 5 point Likerd in the second section. Questions are presented in a structure that consists seven factors. Considering that the number of female managers are less both in Turkey and in the world, it can be said that female managers are hardly accepted. For this reason it can be suggested that more researches about glass ceiling with greater audience can be repeated in different variables.en_US
