Abstract
Bu araştırmada, kardeşi otizmli olan ve olmayan çocukların, kardeş ilişkileri, benlik saygıları ve stresle başa çıkma yolları incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu, 2016-2017 eğitim ve öğretim yılında İstanbul İli ilçelerinden Maltepe, Kartal ve Kadıköy’de Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı olarak faaliyet gösteren üç resmi ilköğretim okulunun 6, 7 ve 8. sınıflarına devam eden 62 otizmli olmayan kardeşe sahip öğrenci ve aynı ilçelerde bulunan ve Milli Eğitim Bakanlığına bağlı olarak faaliyet gösteren özel eğitim ve rehabilitasyon merkezlerine devam eden 42 otizmli kardeşe sahip öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılara, kişisel bilgi formu, benlik saygısı ölçeği, stresle başa çıkma yolları ölçeği ve kardeş ilişkileri anketi uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 23.0 kullanılmış, ölçekler arası ilişkiler için bağımsız t-testi, hipotezler açısından ise Mann-Whitney U testi ve Kruskal-Wallis testi uygulanmış, anlamlı fark bulunduğunda ise Mann-Whitney u ile hangi gruplar arasında fark olduğu incelenmiştir. Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kardeşi otizmli olan ve olmayan çocuklara uygulanan ölçeklerin bazı alt alanlarda anlamlı bir fark bulunurken bazılarında ise anlamlı bir fark bulunamamıştır.
In this thesis, I examine the sibling relationship, self esteem and stress manage of the children who has an sibling with autism and children who has an sibling without autism. The study group of the search is consists by, 62 students that has siblings without autism who are studying in the 6th,7th and 8th grades at three different schools that are affiliated to ministry of national education at 2016-2017 academic year. In the provinces of Istanbul which are Maltepe, Kartal and Kadıköy and 42 students that has siblings with autism who are studying in the 6th,7th and 8th grades at special education and rehabilitation centers that affiliated to ministry of national education in the provinces of Istanbul which are Maltepe, Kartal and Kadıköy. I have applied a personal information form, self esteem scale, stress manage scale and sibling relationship survey to the study group. In order to analyze the data SPSS 23.0 was used. For the relationship between scales independent T-test was conducted. For the hypothesis Mann-Whitney U test and Kruskal-Walls test was applied. When a significant variation was found, Mann-Whitney U test was used to find out the variences between groups. From the research, kids that have an autistic sibling and the kids that don’t, have some differences in some sub ranges but don’t have any difference in some others according to the scales that were applied.
