Özet
Her gebe kadın ve ailesinin doğumun gerçekleşeceği yeri seçmeye hakkı vardır. Günümüzde başta Hollanda olmak üzere, Avustralya, Yeni Zelanda, İngiltere gibi ülkelerde kadınların evde doğum yapması desteklenmektedir. Yapılan kanıt temelli çalışmalar, evde doğumun hem anne, hem de bebek için hastane doğumu kadar iyi sonuçları olduğunu göstermektedir. Evde doğumlarla ilgili olarak ebe yalnızca doğum sırasında değil, doğum öncesi ve sonrası dönemde de aktif rol oynar. Ülkemizin doğu bölgelerinde evde doğum yapma oranının %45,5 ve ebeler tarafından gerçekleştirilen doğum oranının %58,8 olduğu göz önüne alındığında; literatürde evde doğumla ilgili bakım protokollerinin olmamasının ve ebelik-hemşirelik kitaplarında evde doğumla ilgili bölümlere yer verilmemesinin büyük bir eksiklik olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu makale ülkemizde yüksek bir oranda gerçekleşen ev doğumlarında ebelere ve ebe öğrencilere rehber olması amacıyla derlenmiştir.
Every pregnant woman and her family have a right to choose where to give birth. Nowadays, being Netherlands in the first place, giving birth at home is supported in the countries such as Australia, New Zealand and England. Evidence based studies suggest that the outcome of planned home births is as good as that of planned hospital births both for mother and her baby. At home birth, a midwife plays an active roles not only intrapartum period but also antenatal and postnatal periods. In the east regions of our country, the rates of home births and the births attended by midwives are 58.8% and 45.5% respectively. Nevertheless, it is major deficiency that midwifery and nursery books do not have chapters on planned home births and also, a nursery protocol for home births is not present in literature. The aim of this review is being a guide for midwifery students and midwives attended to home births which are in high rates in our country.
