Abstract
In this study, it is tried to understand how industrialisation in football affects football fans. With football finding a place on television, football has reached all over the world and its borders have developed. Television has had a great impact on this globalisation of the game. In this thesis, the changing fan profiles with industrial football have been tried to be understood through Adorno and Horkheimer's concept of culture industry. Participant observation was conducted in the stadiums and in-depth interviews were conducted with 23 fans from Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş and Karagümrük. In light of the data obtained from the interviews, it was concluded that with the change brought by industrial football, the stadium fans have become spectators and the aggressive fan profile has been disciplined. On the other hand, it has been observed that the fans are uncomfortable with the practices of industrial football and oppose the industrialisation of football. In particular, passobilet and Law No. 6222 on the Prevention of Violence in Sports are the practices that football fans complain about the most and that industrial football is aimed at suppressing the "tradition of tribunalism" in the stadiums. In this respect, it has been concluded that there is a tense relationship between fans and industrial football while at the same time, they are becoming customers.
