Okul yöneticilerinin liderlik stillerinin okul iklimi üzerine etkisi: İstanbul ili Anadolu yakası örneği

Özet
Bu araştırma, 2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılı kapsamında, İstanbul ili Anadolu yakasındaki ilköğretim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin liderlik davranışını ve okul iklimini belirlemek, okul müdürlerinin liderlik davranışı ile okul iklimi arasındaki ilişkiyi ortaya koymak, okul müdürlerinin liderlik davranışlarının ve okul ikliminin çeşitli değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını tespit etmek ve amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, tarama modeli kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Çalışma evrenini, İstanbul ili Anadolu yakası sınırları içerisindeki ilköğretim okulları oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın verileri, Çok Faktörlü Liderlik Ölçeği (MLQ) ve örgüt iklimini betimleme ölçeği (OCDQ) ile elde edilmiştir. Veriler, bilgisayar ortamında ve SPSS istatistik programı kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Verilerin istatistiksel çözümlemeleri için; frekans ve yüzdelik analizler, ilişkisiz grup "t" testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi ve pearson çarpım momentler korelasyon katsayısı gibi istatistiksel teknikler kullanılmıştır. İlköğretim kurumlarında görev yapan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürleri en çok dönüşümcü liderlik davranışı sergilediği görülmektedir ve okul ikliminde moral ve anlayış gösterme yüksekken çözülme ve uzak durma ise düşüktür. Elde edilen bulgulara göre ilköğretim okullarında iklim tiplerinden açık iklim hâkimdir. Ayrıca araştırmanın bulgularına göre okul müdürlerinin liderlik davranışları ile okul iklimi arasında anlamlı ilişkinin olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır.
This research was carried out within the 2011-2012 school year in order to determine school principals leadership behavior and the school climate according to perceptions of teachers who work in elementary educational institutions of the Anatolian bank of Istanbul, to put forward the relation between school principals leadership behavior and the school climate, as well as to find out whether school principals leadership behavior and the school climate underwent changes with different variables. The research was made using the scanning model. The system for the study was formed by the elementary schools located in the limits of the Anatolian bank of Istanbul. The data of the study was obtained through the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire (MLQ) and the Organizational Climate Description Questionnaire (OCDQ). The data was analyzed in the computer environment using the SPSS statistics program. For the purpose of statistical analysis of the data there were applied such statistical techniques as the frequence and percentage analysis, the unrelated group "t" test and the one-way analysis of variance and the Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient. According to perceptions of the teachers working in the elementary educational institutions, school principals appear to have shown mostly the transformation leadership behavior and while the mood and mutual understanding in the school climate are high, disengagement and aloofness are low. According to the acquired findings, in elementary schools, out of all types of climates, the open climate predominates. Additionally, according to the findings of the study, it was discovered, that there is a substantive relation between school principals leadership behavior and the school climate.
