Özet
In the currently available literature on geosynthetically reinforced earth masses, an analytical or numerical model describing the time dependent response of the reinforcement geosynthetic - host soil composite under the action of seismic loads is lacking. There are numerous studies that deal with the viscous behavior of the reinforcement material under sinusoidal loading conditions whose frequency content and energy characteristics are vastly different than earthquake events. This study presents a novel correlation between cumulative seismic input energy and dynamic reinforcement strains by illustrating the applicability of the correlation on three different cases. © 2018 11th International Conference on Geosynthetics 2018, ICG 2018.
