dc.description.abstractPast Algerian youth was moulded by nationalism and the blind faith in "Algerian" identity. The latter was constructed on anti-colonialism, revolutionary ideals and nationalist fervour. These were, in fact the heydays of Algerianness as it were, when the youth dreamt of nation building and fighting for the country.en_US
