Özet

Clinical laboratories are commonly used a teaching strategy to assist students to develop clinical nursing skills prior to attend compulsory clinical placements. Nursing is nowadays characterized as a mobile profession and the number of international migrants still continues to increase. There is a significant number of immigrant nursing students in Turkey, Aim: The purpose oI this study was to describe the perceptions of immigrant nursing students of teaching and assessment strategies employed in Clinical Skills Laboratories in Turkey. This study was used to explore the role of the Clinical Skills Laboratories in nurse education. As a data collection method, in|erviews were made. The study results were obtained by the qualitative semi-structured individuals and focus group interviews. For semi-structured interviews by purposive sampling ın the first year of nursing programme aIl the immigrant nursing students were interviewed. lnterviews were conducted as individual (n=9) and focus group (n.5).
