Özet
Fen öğrenmede kavramlar arasındaki ilişkinin öneminin kavranması mevcut olan geleneksel eğitimin eleştirilmesine yol açmıştır. Bu konuyla ilgili araştırmalar öğrencilere okul dışındaki dünyalarında da anlama becerilerini geliştirme fırsatı verecek iyi düzenlenmiş performans etkinliklerinin dikkatli bir şekilde kullanılması gerektiğini savunmaktadırlar. Okul dışı etkinliklerden birini de analojiler oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı; "protein sentezi" konusunda öğrencilerin analojiler geliştirmelerini sağlayarak, bu analojiler ile konuyu kavramaları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığını tespit etmektir. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu Marmara Üniversitesi Atatürk Eğitim Fakültesi İlköğretim Fen Bilgisi Öğretmenliği Anabilim dalı 3. sınıf öğrencisi olan 40 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırma verileri araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan açık uçlu sorular ile öğrencilerin oluşturdukları analojilerin incelenmesinden elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler istatistiksel olarak değerlendirilmiş ve yorumlanmıştır.
Learning the importance of the relation between the concepts in science learning has caused to criticize the traditional education. Related research studies with this subject are maintaining that well designed performance activities should be used carefully to give the opportunity of developing learning skills to the students at the outside of the school. One of the outside activities is analogy. The aim of this research is to make students develop analogies about the subject of "protein synthesis" and search that if there is any relationship between their understanding of the subject and these analogies. The sample of this research is a group of 20 student from 3rd level of Marmara University Atatürk Education Faculty Primary Science Education Department. The data of this research have gained by investigating the analogies of the students and the open-ended questions that were prepared by the researchers. The data are evaluated and interpreted by statistically.
